The CJ-7 was originally produced from 1976 to 1986. It was built as a heavy duty off-road vehicle. It had a reputation for being hard to kill. It was so good at handling adverse conditions, that the Canadian army used them as combat vehicles. To this day they are still often used as mudding and rock climbing vehicles.
